It's getting scary out there. If you don't believe that we are in the midst of the battle for our freedom, our values and our very existence, you are living under a huge boulder. The middle east is about as volatile as Mount St. Helens. This latest flap about freedom of speech and supposedly offensive Danish cartoons is a smokescreen. The Islamo-facists are out for blood and they will use any excuse to provoke a confrontation. The problem becomes worse when leaders in our own country(the ever flapping Bill Clinton)agree with the enemy. While cartoons aimed at satirizing religion are disrespectful, attempts to censor them are frightening. What's worse is the hypocrisy. When our own country, through the NEA, funds "ART," such as a crucifix submerged in a glass of urine, there is little outrage. After all, it only offends Christians; what's the big deal? Seems we have the quintessential double standard going on here. And just because the hoopla is happening in Europe doesn't mean it's not our problem too. Europe admittedly is in a little worse shape in that it went blissfully about its wine and cheese and never saw its demographic morphing. Muslims have been infiltrating Europe in record numbers and as Europe grows more and more secular, it's Arab population grows more and more religiously radical. Street protests, goods boycotts and burning embassies are serious things. Capitulating to evil is not an option.
