At the close of another year, most folks take some time to assess the distance they have travelled on their respective "coil". It seems to me that it is quite possibly one of the strongest urges in all of us to accentuate the negative. "Oh boy this was a rough year", or "Thank God this year is over", can be heard from friends and family members alike. Truthfully, how many times have you heard someone say that they are sorry that this or any other year is over? I guess it is a positive thing to look forward with "rose-colored glasses", 20/20 foresight as it were. But, I am betting that if you or I or anyone else were to look back and ponder upon 2007 hard enough we could, individually, form a heaping pile of positives. I know that Thanksgiving is more akin to this type of life-assessment, but I have found that holiday ripe for cliche', "I am thankful for my family, my pets, my house, my job, etc, etc... Come on New Year's is time specific. What has happened to us over the last 365 days that we look back upon fondly? What makes us smile from 2007. What follows is a
Cliff Notes version of my year written here in an attempt to spark a similar notion in you, my fair readers:
