MC's Call to Action!

Could the cosmic popularity and uncomfortably, imaginable election of Barack Obama possibly come at a worse time? Record high gas prices, a drowning and dying real estate market, still-porous borders, and a closed-minded culture surrounding health care ring a bell to anyone? In this writer's humble opinion we are looking at a perfect storm when it comes to our society as a whole. Compound the above factors with a vitriolic, political landscape where "competing viewpoints" is putting it kindly and goes beyond hyperbole. And we, as a responsible citizenry, cannot forget the elephant dancing in the room in the form of Iraq.

So what are we to do? Our duty? Why...yes! We turn out and vote. We inform our friends, family and neighbors. We arm ourselves with information. We also do all we can to light a bonfire under our "do-nothing" representatives in Congress' butts. What else is their to do, if that does not strike your fancy (other than read your favorite political blog-wink/wink)? Then tell me. Respond to this posting. Put your ideas out into the realm of political action. I do not know about you, but I have had it.

$80 to fill up my tank? The ever present complaints about those peoples running roughshot across our borders. How about the drip, drip, drip, of dollars and cents dwindling away in your largest investment, that is your house by the way. Solutions, I tell you, solutions with a capital "S". And someone with the marbles to do something.
