So the Messiah, Obama goes to Iraq to make nice with the troops. Problem is, he never spoke to one. This was strictly a big media circus, complete with a huge entourage, cameras popping and lots of strutting. It will never be reported by the mainstream media(they're in the tank for him), but seems Barack couldn't be bothered shaking hands with troops...just a quick wink & nod was all he had time for. Then it was on to Europe, to let the wine & cheese crowd know that he was a "global citizen" from the West. Mind you this guy wants to be President of the United States and all he did was put down his own country. I've got to pinch myself to make sure I'm not in the Twilight Zone somewhere. There he was gushing about "one world concepts", the man doesn't aspire to just be president of the U.S...he wants to be king of the world. His Marxist views are barely camouflaged when you listen to his rhetoric. But Oh, how they swooned in Germany. Of course the free concert, free beer and free bratwurst certainly got em all warmed up. Two hundred thousand strong, they came to listen and not once did he mention how his country saved their asses and that of all of Europe. How his countrymen laid down their lives to squelch Nazism. Oh No, instead he made apologies for his country. It all makes me literally sick...Barack Obama is no patriot, he is an elitist, a globalist who bows at the altar of the UN and worst of all, his intention is to turn our republic into a socialized, nanny state, where the government controls all aspects of our lives, and true freedom is exchanged for entitlements meant to keep the masses captive.

Looks like God is in need of good journalists not to mention good men. First Tim Russert leaves us too soon and now Tony Snow. He too had much more work to do. An elequent gentleman, Tony Snow like Russert got the job done without sacrificing grace and civility. We need so many more like these two. My heart goes out to their families and friends for surely they leave a huge void behind.

Same Old..Same Old by Dr. T

He's supposed to be the "next Messiah..the Agent of Change"...yet whatever comes out of Barack Obama's mouth sounds all too familiar. It's recycled sludge my friends, this guy perceives himself a tanner FDR. Its the New Deal... Great Society rolled into a trillion dollar tax and redistribution scheme. Same old, same old Democrat shell game. The problem is, the press is on this guy's side, spinning his Marxist agenda as compassionate, just and refreshing. Yeah, about as refreshing as a flat soft drink. When are folks going to understand that the founders knew the perils of big government? That their policies were always in favor of individualism and freedom? Freedom means not depending on government to take care of you. Once you agree to the nanny state you relinquish your freedom. This is what has been happening over the past 60 years. As government has grown beyond all reason, so have entitlement programs, added regulation, added taxes and fees and yes...less and less freedom. The nanny state accomplishes this take over very cleverly. Under the pretense of caring for the citizenry, more and more restrictions have been established. The more power the government has over it's citizenry, the more totalitarian it becomes. As it stands today, our government bears no resemblance to that which our framers intended, it is in fact a direct contradiction. What drives all of this isn't a fervent desire to care for the citizenry at all...it is simply to have the citizenry so needy that power remains in the hands of the politicians, such as Barack Obama. The more he promises to ease your pain, the more skeptical thinking Americans should be. When he tells you that we must conserve, we must be less selfish, we must consume less, he is in fact chipping away at your individual freedom. I'm all for paying my fair share of taxes but I am not for punishing wealth nor creating jealousy and anger toward those who have it. Barack Obama claims he wants to level the playing field. He is misguided. The playing field is there for anyone who endeavours to work long and hard to accomplish their particular dream. If you think we have a bad economy now, I can assure you that redistribution will totally collapse it.
