The Gloves Are Off! by Dr. T

The room grew silent and out she came, a slight and pretty woman, stylishly dressed with a smile that lit up the hall. Within the first few sentences I knew this was a woman with whom I could identify. I'm a public speaker and, as such, I can zero in on speakers and effectively evaluate them.

Sarah Palin not only worked the room, she worked 38 million viewers throughout the country. She spoke with style, with grace and just enough edge to let you know she means business. She introduced her family and without being overt, when she came to her baby with Downs Syndrome, the little boy named Trig, she let the "pro choice" crowd know where she stood. She chastised the media and the Washington elites. She played up her small town roots and beat up on Obama's empty rhetoric and hypocrisy. She laid out all she had done for Alaska in 20 short months. She showed us that real change could be possible if in the right hands.

She brought the house down and pulled the rug out from under the liberal elites. No one on the other side saw it coming. She was calm and cool after five days of relentless attacks on her and her family. She showed the country that strength of character and strong convictions can see folks through adversity. She exposed the "talking heads" and mainstream press for the vermin they are. You can bet that they will be gunning for her, big time, from now on. I have no doubt that she will persevere. We conservatives have been lacking a candidate reminiscent of Reagan. Someone unabashedly patriotic, someone who understands evil in our time, someone fiscally responsible, someone who believes in less government, someone who wants to utilize our natural resources. All of this and more, is what Sarah Palin is about.

The line in the sand is drawn... so, let the games begin.
