100 scary days by Dr. T

So today President Obama concludes his first 100 days on the job. It has been the scariest 100 days of my life. With lightning speed the President has passed bailouts and "stimulus" packages to the tune of 2 trillion dollars which will have future generations forever in debt. Newborns like my own grandson already owe $36,000.00; he is only 4 months old. In an unprecedented power grab, the President and this Congress are taking over private enterprise and encouraging unions to aggressively mobilize businesses throughout the country. While I'm on the subject of spending, how about Air Force One & company flying 1000 ft. above ground zero. That stunt cost us taxpayers over $300,000.00 not to mention sending workers fleeing from the hi-rises thinking another attack was upon them. Too bad no one thought to alert the poor souls, but what the heck, it sure made for a good photo op.

The President quickly ushered in a Health and Human Services Secretary (another cabinet appointee with a tax "issue"). We do not yet have a Surgeon General and many top jobs in the Centers for Disease Control are unfilled while lo and behold we are facing a possible Swine Flu Pandemic. With Mexico being the genesis of the outbreak, we are not even shutting down our border. And the ineptitude rages on.

Janet Napolitano, our Homeland Security hotshot cannot bring herself to call the enemies who wish to destroy us terrorists. She is, however, very comfortable to call American citizens, myself included, who came out on April 15th to voice our disdain over the adminsitration's policies "domestic terrorists". In addition she is very fearful that soldiers coming home from putting their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan will join white supremacist hate groups. Unbelieveable!

The adminsitration wants to push through nationalized health care and they were prepared to resurrect a sly tactic that would circumvent a filibuster, thus getting the bill passed with a 51 vote majority. They won't have to use this tactic now, it seems yesterday Arlen Spector defected and joined the Dems. The Congress has consistently blocked Republicans from offering alternatives on every issue they have put forth. The promises of bi-partisanship and transparency have gone by the way. I'm amazed that so many of our citizens are being led like sheep. They honestly believe that government controlled health care is a good thing. Have you not read about Canada and England, where folks are dying waiting to be seen by a state mandated physican? I, for one, do not want some fat cat bureaucrat in Washington to determine who I can see, when I can see them and IF I will get treated.

The President has trashed his own country, berating us to heads of state on foreign soil which clearly signals one of two things: either he doesn't know our country's history(we beat back Nazism, Communism and Facism)or he chooses to ignore it while embracing socialism and the likes of Chavez and Castro. I do not like the President, NOT because he is black, it is his policies that I abhor. He could be pink with yellow polka dots and I'd vote for him in a heartbeat, if he believed in upholding the Constitution and the liberties our forefathers sacrificed for. The President, his administration and this Congress are drunk with power and hellbent on taking over all aspects of our lives. They wish to punish individualism and replace it with collectivism. I never thought this could happen to us, George Orwell was a couple of decades off but his predictions are coming true...welcome to STATIST AMERICA!
