Where's the Money? by Dr T

So the President has put in for over a trillion dollar budget. Unbelieveable! He is truly the king of talking out of both sides of his mouth. All but two states are facing daunting deficits. In fact Virginia and Arizona are questioning the constitutionality of mandating healthcare. Clearly this is because these states can't afford the bill. We have an overall deficit of 63 trillion dollars and yet this reckless Congress continues to spend money like it's growing on trees. It is clear to me that this administration wishes to collapse our financial system. A bold statment to be sure, but one I firmly believe. All around them there are proven stategies for getting the country back on track, yet they refuse to adopt them. Instead, it's full speed ahead with more entitlements that are unsustainable. When the new budget proposal replete with massive tax increases was announced it was explained that the increases would be felt predominately by corporations and folks making over $250,000.00. It was also reported that 50% of working folks will not pay any income taxes. Certainly a class warfare ploy meant to keep this Congress in votes and certainly despicable and punitive to the top percentage of wage earners who already pay the lion's share of the tax burden. In addition there are "hidden" taxes which will affect everyone.

This administration and Congress continue to make decisions that are clearly not in the best interest of the people and the country as a whole. Finally the citizens are paying attention. Too bad it's taken so long. We have a tremendous amount of ground to make up. Economists are now coming out of the woodwork with ominous reports about our fiscal stability. Where have they been? We've got to stop this train before the entire country is derailed.
