"The Buckshot Stops Here" by Dr T

My, My... the White House Press Corps have their collective undies in a knot! Why, the unmitigated gall; to think that they weren't given exclusive rights to the "breaking scandal" of a shooting accident involving the Vice President over the weekend. It's unfortunate for the victim but thankfully, it appears that he will fully recover. I will say that given the animosity by the press towards this administration, it would have been prudent for Mr. Cheney to have made a statement, but really, folks, is this a national crisis? It never ceases to amaze me how the press will blow up a story to epic proportions as long as it impacts a Republican but somehow they miss the true stories from headliners on the other side of the aisle.

Case in point.....former Vice-President Al Gore. Sunday he's in Saudi Arabia spewing anti-American propaganda that should cause him never to see the light of day. Sorry folks, but this stuff was treasonous. There he was all pumped up talking about how America abuses Arabs here at home. It simply boggles the mind. There was a time when former Presidents and Vice Presidents knew protocol, knew decorum, knew to keep their traps shut! Clinton, Gore, Carter, they just don't get it or worse yet, they don't care. The limelight is too big a lure for these egotists and their vindictiveness is boundless. But at what price? Gore's words will further incite the Islamo-facists who live to see the Western world in collapse. Further more, his statements are lies. How in good conscience can a former American Vice President carry on this way? He has put citizens at home and our military in Iraq in danger and he couldn't care less. It is simply unconscionable.

It's Getting Scary Out There by Dr. T

It's getting scary out there. If you don't believe that we are in the midst of the battle for our freedom, our values and our very existence, you are living under a huge boulder. The middle east is about as volatile as Mount St. Helens. This latest flap about freedom of speech and supposedly offensive Danish cartoons is a smokescreen. The Islamo-facists are out for blood and they will use any excuse to provoke a confrontation. The problem becomes worse when leaders in our own country(the ever flapping Bill Clinton)agree with the enemy. While cartoons aimed at satirizing religion are disrespectful, attempts to censor them are frightening. What's worse is the hypocrisy. When our own country, through the NEA, funds "ART," such as a crucifix submerged in a glass of urine, there is little outrage. After all, it only offends Christians; what's the big deal? Seems we have the quintessential double standard going on here. And just because the hoopla is happening in Europe doesn't mean it's not our problem too. Europe admittedly is in a little worse shape in that it went blissfully about its wine and cheese and never saw its demographic morphing. Muslims have been infiltrating Europe in record numbers and as Europe grows more and more secular, it's Arab population grows more and more religiously radical. Street protests, goods boycotts and burning embassies are serious things. Capitulating to evil is not an option.
