Capitalizing on Disaster by Dr T

Dear Readers,
This article should have been posted back in June. I was very busy and didn't realize it was not posted. My sincere apologies.

So the President spoke from the Oval Office tonight and as expected used the bully pulpit to chastize us for our dependence on fossil fuel. He skirted the issue that his adminsitration denied foreign entities from coming to our immediate aide, that the adminsitration was late to the party , showing up a full month after the spill. Poor Bobby Jindal knew what he needed to preserve his state's precious shoreline but his pleas fell on deaf ears because environmental impact studies had to be done. Talk about the inmates running the asylum.

Now the President will use this BP disaster to push cap and trade, a punitive bill that will further strangle the US economically and cause a further loss of jobs. The President continues almost daily to play into my theory of organized chaos....

Funny how no one is talking about one very obvious fact. We are more than 50 days into this spill, with millions of gallons of oil flowing which ironically proves what many of us have known all along...we have enough of our own resources to keep us in crude for the next 200 years. The President lied this evening when he said our resources are dwindling. This unfortunate disaster has put the abundance of our natural resources at the fore. The fact is he and the current administration do not want any drilling and they are using this incident to push their agenda through. I believe in alternative energy - however, until we have mechanisms in place there should be no moratorium on drilling.
